With rising energy prices and increasing emphasis on sustainability, many hotels in Europe face two major challenges: soaring electricity bills and unstable grid power supply. This hotel sought our assistance and ultimately adopted a customized solar-plus-storage solution, which now powers its operations more efficiently and sustainably. What is the solution? Two commercial and industrial integrated energy storage systems, paired with four energy storage cabinets.

Smart Solar + Energy Storage: Creating a Sustainable Future
The highlight of this installation is our integrated commercial and industrial hybrid energy storage system. It's not just an energy storage system, but a smart microgrid that seamlessly integrates solar power, battery storage, grid connection, and intelligent management functions. Equipped with a 50kW hybrid inverter and a 104.4kWh battery cabinet, the system can handle up to 75kW of solar input with a maximum DC voltage of 1000V. It features three Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPTs) and six PV string inputs, with each MPPT designed for a current of up to 36A and a short-circuit current of up to 40A, ensuring efficient energy capture.
With the help of the STS cabinet, the system can automatically switch to off-grid mode within 20 milliseconds in the event of a grid failure, ensuring smooth operation of all equipment. The STS cabinet includes a 100kW STS module, a 100kVA isolation transformer, a microgrid controller, and a power distribution section, easily managing the switching between the grid and energy storage. For added flexibility, the system can also be connected to a diesel generator to provide backup power when needed.

The unique feature of our system is its built-in intelligent energy management system (EMS). This system supports multiple operating modes, including timed mode, self-consumption mode, transformer dynamic expansion mode, backup mode, zero output mode, and demand-side management mode. Whether the system is operating on-grid or off-grid, the intelligent EMS ensures seamless switching and optimal energy utilization.
Furthermore, our intelligent monitoring platform is designed for various energy systems, including grid-connected PV systems, residential energy storage systems, commercial and industrial energy storage systems, and electric vehicle charging stations. It provides centralized real-time monitoring and management, intelligent operation and maintenance, as well as functions such as revenue calculation and data export. Our energy storage system goes beyond simply utilizing solar energy—it adapts to the hotel's needs, ensuring a reliable and uninterrupted power supply while reducing reliance on traditional energy sources.

Financial Savings and Environmental Impact Combined
This system not only guarantees power supply but also saves the hotel money and protects the environment. It is estimated that the hotel can save €12,101 in energy costs annually, with a projected return on investment in just three years. Environmentally, the system reduces sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to planting hundreds of trees.
